Mr. Chris Huskilson has been appointed Chairman of ocean data company, XOCEAN.
Chris served as CEO of Emera, an international energy and services company based in Canada from 2004 to 2018. During this time Emera grew from a small electric utility in Nova Scotia to a $29-billion energy business operating in Canada, the United States, and the Caribbean. Chris now serves as a director to a diverse portfolio of organisations including for-profit and not-for-profit businesses and institutions.
Chris joins XOCEAN at a time of accelerated international growth. The Irish based company has just announced the creation of 60 jobs as it expands to meet market demands.
Commenting on his appointment, Chris said: “XOCEAN is transforming the way data is collected using innovative marine robotics known as Unmanned Surface Vessels (USVs). It is a great company with an exciting future. I look forward to supporting the team in this new phase of growth and development”.
