About XOCEAN

XOCEAN is an ocean data company – we collect data for clients ranging from mapping the seabed to monitoring the environment. However, we do this differently, instead of using conventional crewed survey ships, we have developed a marine robotic system known as an Uncrewed Surface Vessel (USV).

Overview

Responsible for management and control of critical equipment and assets for USV operations. This will include vehicle fleet, trailers, marine equipment, site kits and PPE. This person will be responsible for maximising availability & utilisation and controlling cost of operational assets for the best possible efficiency. Suited to an individual with exceptional organisational skills and strong scheduling experience. Experience in the marine industry or other complex, safety critical industries is desirable.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Management of XOCEANs fleet of vehicles including maintenance, tax, insurance and availability. Ensuring fleet meets all legal requirements and company standards
  • Management of trailers and road trailing equipment, strapping etc. ensuring all safety and serviceability requirements are maintained
  • Management of Field Operations Site Kits; equipment, tooling and off site spares. Oversight of allocation, inventory and replenishment
  • Sourcing and management of Marine Field equipment
  • Management of PPE and uniforms – Sourcing, specification, certification and serviceability
  • Managing costs and achieving efficiencies with above equipment and assets

On occasion this role may involve:

Travel to site to inventory and audit equipment

Requirements: Essential Skills / Experience

  • Degree Level or equivalent
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ relevant experience in a similar role
  • Exceptional organisational and scheduling skills

Desirable Experience

  • Experience with Netsuite or similar systems
  • Experience in the Marine or another Safety critical Industry
  • Knowledge of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) requirements
